Johann Jacob Wehrli was a Swiss pedagogue. Johann Jacobs father was a schoolmaster in Eschikofen. Because of the recommendation of his father, he came to Hofwil, where he led the charity school that was founded in 1804 by Philipp Emanuel von Fellenberg, which combined teaching with manual labor. Wehrli worked, ate and slept together with his pupils.
