Johann Friedrich Daube was a German composer, music theorist and lutenist. He belonged to the private chapel of the Duke of Württemberg and was adviser and first secretary of the Academy of Sciences of Augsburg. He left a collection of sonatas for lute, two symphonies and theoretical works.
