Giovanni Battista Ferrini

Giovanni Battista Ferrini was an Italian composer, organist and harpsichordist. He was organist at the Church Saint-Louis-des-Français in Rome from 1619 as well as the main church of the Roman Oratory, the Chiesa Nuova (Santa Maria in Valicella) from 1623 to 1653. he has been part of the inner circle of Girolamo Frescobaldi. In his last twenty years he traveled around Italy and played in different churches (particularly in Rome, such as the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica) and participated in secular concerts or musical events.
