Auguste Vaucorbeil

August Veurcorbeil was a French composer. He was the son of actor Ferville and disciple of Luigi Cherubini Conservatory. He was president of the Society of Composers and in 1879 director of the Opera, where he set several operas, including Aida, Sappho and Henri VIII.
